Investing in the Transition to a NET-ZERO Carbon Emission Future
Link Capital Pte Ltd (LCPL) & Asia Sustainability Fund VCC (ASF Variable Capital Company) held the inaugural launch of Nature Based Sustainable Fund (NBSF) in Singapore today at the Singapore Flyer - overlooking the beautiful Singapore skyline.
The private event was graced by guest of honours, H.E. Sengkeo Pouangpadith, Ambassador Of Lao PDR to Singapore, represented in his absence by Mr. Soukhasavanh Sanaphay, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Lao PDR to the Republic of Singapore; and VIP guest H.E. Mr Jamal Abdulla Al Suwaidi, Ambassador Of United Arab Emirates to Singapore. Our strategic partners from Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and AsiaNext were present to share their insights and opportunities in sustainable businesses in the region including the attendance of representatives from ST Engineering and Temasek Polytechnic.
Nature Based Sustainable Fund (NBSF) is a Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) approved sub-fund established with a vision to support nature-based projects and promote sustainable practices. Our focus lies in investing in forestry projects, carbon credits, and driving digitalization initiatives within the sector. With a strong commitment to environmental stewardship and long-term sustainability, we are excited to introduce our inaugural project collaboration with Asia Sustainability Fund VCC centered around Agarwood forestry and carbon credits.
At the Nature-Based Sustainable Fund, we recognize the critical role that nature-based solutions play in addressing climate change and preserving our planet's biodiversity and we are very specific focus on South East Asia and the other parts of Asia. We support the transitions for the net zero carbon emission future and would like to place our contributions by supporting green projects.
We aim to support the transition to a low-carbon economy while fostering socio-economic development in local communities.

Our initial flagship project are sustainable Agarwood plantations that adhere to best practices in forestry management. Our project will focus on cultivation techniques, sustainable harvesting, and ensuring the traceability and legality of the Agarwood supply chain.
As part of our commitment to environmental impact, NBSF actively engages in carbon credit projects. We support initiatives that reduce greenhouse gas emissions, enhance carbon sequestration, and contribute to the global effort in combating climate change. Through rigorous certification and validation processes, we ensure that the projects meet internationally recognized standards, such as Verified Carbon Standard (VCS), Climate Action Reserve (CAR), or Gold Standard.
